The artist opened a second-hand store in the basement of the Museum of Yuen Long in Hong Kong. This store showed the spiritual and physical aspects of a capitalist society and the complexity of the relationship with art; through this art form, Yan Lei has raised a series of issues to be discussed. He explains that this work is to cast light on reality and to the acknowledgment of our own burden.
