The artist created this series of works in 2008 for the Aspen (Aspen) Museum of Art, Colorado, United States. Andy Warhol, Hong Hao, the artist himself, together with the artists from the 12th edition of Documenta inhabit his canvases traveling from Germany to the natural landscape of Aspen in the United States. However, all backgrounds portray a light as if a god-like presence was emitting a divine glory. Yan Lei revisited literature and showed the complex relations between the brilliant sacred objects described and the passion and peace associated. In today's global context and system of art, the artist’s unique perspective and approach illustrate the audience his creative vision and personal reflection.
